Redmi 9 Launched in Nepal with AI Quad Camera & 6.53-inch Display

Overview

Redmi 9 comes in a 6.5-inches Full HD+ Dot Drop display having a waterdrop notch at the top for a selfie camera. The phone has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with a 395 ppi, aspect ratio of 19:5:9, and 400nits screen brightness. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect phone against scratches. The phone measures 163.3 x 77 x 9.1 mm (height x width x thickness), and weight 198 grams.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 has a quad rear camera setup with 13-megapixels main sensor, 8-megapixels ultra-wide sensor, 5-megapixels macro sensor, and 2-megapixels dedicated depth sensor with autofocus. The phone’s rear camera comes with features like kaleidoscope, ultra-wide-angle mode, macro mode, and portrait mode. For selfie, there is 8-megapixels AI front camera that lies in the waterdrop notch.

Redmi 9 is powered by high performance MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processor and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. In terms of memory configuration, the phone comes in two variants; 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. There is also an expandable card slot to stretch the storage up to 512GB. The handset runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11.

Redmi 9 is backed by a powerful rechargeable 5020mAh battery which supports fast 18W charging out of the box. From the capacity of battery under normal usage, the battery could provide more than two days of power backup.
