How to Apply IPO Share Online in Nepal using Mero Share?

Initial Public Offering (IPO) is announced in Nepal on a regular basis. The first selling of shares issued by a company is known as an Initial Public Offering (IPO). IPO enables the general public to invest in a company by acquiring its shares at the beginning. IPO is usually sold at the price of Rs. 100 before they are officially listed on Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd. (NEPSE).

Now filling out forms for an IPO has gone digital as most of the things have been digitalized in the country. With the digitalized system in filling IPO online, you no longer have to visit banks and wait in long lines to invest your money in stocks. You can easily apply IPO from your home using a computer/smartphone/tablet.

To fill the IPO form online, you have to visit Mero Share online portal of CDSC (Central Depository System and Clearing Ltd) which provides detailed information on share transactions. Mero Share portal is accessible via a website and a mobile app.

How to apply IPO share online in Nepal?

To apply IPO online:

  • Open the MERO SHARE portal (CLICK HERE) 
  • Log in using your USERNAME and PASSWORD
  • After logging in, select My ASBA from the left side menu
  • Select CURRENT ISSUE
  • Click APPLY next to the published share name
  • Type the number of shares you want to apply
  • Select BANK and then enter your CRN number
  • Click on Apply
  • Then enter the four-digit transaction PIN to confirm the application
  • Click APPLY and it's done.

How to open the Mero Share account?

The procedures to open a Mero share account is as follows:

  • First, you need to have a Demat account which can be open from bank or broker or any capitals that have authorized to give the service.
  • Then you need to have the CRN number (C-ASBA Registration Number) which can be applied from the bank where you have open the Demat account. To apply for CRN number, you can visit a bank or you can apply online. Some banks have offer online facilities to apply for CRN number.
  • After receiving CRN number, submit application form of Meroshare for user name and password to login. You must deposit Rs. 50.00 into the MERO SHARE account number and submit the deposit voucher with the form. The fee of Rs 50.00 must be paid each year for the use of Meroshare portal.
