According to Nepali calendar which follows the Bikram Sambat (B. S.), Nepali Happy New Year (also called Navabarsha in Nepali) is 1st of Baisakh (Beginning month of the Nepali Calendar) every year. This day marks the end of one calendar year and the beginning of another year. It falls in the mid of April with the arrival of spring (Basanta Ritu). How it is celebrated?
A New Year day begins by cleaning, taking bath, doing puja,
worshiping, wearing new cloths and receiving blessings from elder for good

each other and wish each other a Happy New Year wishes for healthy, happiness
and prosperity. As a way to celebrate New Year, they also exchange greeting
cards, gifts and messages online.
On this day people makes resolution for coming year and they are very
