Chhath Puja - Worship of Sun.

Chhath Puja is the mainly celebrated in Terai region of Nepal and also in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh of India. Though many of the Hindu communities celebrate this festival, the Maithili and Bhojpuri Ethnic are the primary to celebrate this festival. The goal they are saying is to achieve purity both physical and spiritual.

Why Chhath Puja?
Chhath puja is a way to be thankful to the Sun for giving the bounties of life in the world and for the success of desires of believers. Chhath puja is a competition of reverence to the sun deity, the only competition inside the world in which devotees offer salutations to the putting sun. Unlike Holi or Tihar, Chhath puja is a competition of prayer and appeasement discovered with sombreness, a pageant that should not be missed. Chhath puja is held in excessive esteem and regard.





How it is celebrated...
Chhath puja is the festival of fact, non-violence, forgiveness and compassion. Chhath puja is a celebrated by using the Biharis on the sixth day of the lunar month after Diwali each year typically 4 days lengthy birthday party followed via rituals or “Suryashashthi’. The rituals of chhath puja typically consist of fasting, folklores, hymns, collectively with the somber coloration at the banks of the rivers or any sparkling watery frame. A million lit lights with heaps fingers providing ‘Arghya’ to the sun makes it a pleasing sight.

Chhath is the simplest time when the setting sun in place of its rising is well known for its glory as the cycle of start starts with death. After sundown, the devotees return homes wherein celebration starts by singing hymns at the same time as devotees maintaining a strict fast without even water for three days. 

On the morning of the final day of Chhath Puja, the journey of devotees starts as they go to the river early in the morning and welcomed sun with fingers. Offers sandalwood, vermilion, rice, culmination, protected usually with saffron colored cotton cloths. They provide ‘Arghya’ and chant mantras and hymns from the Rig Veda and begin the puja. The devotees break the fast and Prasad is distributed among all. According to notion in case you beg for the Prasad and eat, all wishes will come true.
